Discretion Reports need to be lodged by pilots upon Work Practice exceedance. In the Discretion Report Setup, you can choose personnel responsible for overseeing new reports being lodged and create different Discretion Categories.
Go to Setup > Operations > Discretion Report Setup
The following page will open:
1 - In Settings, you can choose if and how often the notifications get sent to the user affected by the breach and the personnel responsible.
2 - The Discretion Safety Officer can be chosen by expanding the dropdown list.
3 - The Discretion Base Managers are set up in the Base Details page of each location.
Discretion Managers can be set up per the whole base (in the Base Managers field - managing all departments), or also per individual departments.
Once personnel is set, the list will appear in the Discretion Report Setup and will contain hyperlinks to each Base Details page.
4 - The First Alert section is used to set which users receive notifications of new reports.
To edit, click on the pencil icon.
You can choose a role or an individual person to receive either or all: Air Maestro Alerts, emails and/or SMS.
5 - The Champion controls the report's progress and assigns Personnel to participate in the Investigation Forum. You can choose which role is responsible for this by clicking on the pencil icon and updating the selection.
6 - The Sign Off personnel signs off the report. You can choose a role or an individual person. Click on the pencil icon and update the selection via the checkbox list available.
At the end of the page, you will also see the Discretion Safety Categories section.
It shows the list of categories that can be selected when filling out a discretion report.
You can customise these by:
- adding new categories
- setting the category to active/inactive
- removing categories
All the above actions are done by right-clicking on the category and selecting the appropriate option.
