Some staff qualifications are made up of multiple smaller requirements. Composite Recency Items make it easier to track these as a single, complete item.
To create a Composite Recency Item:

Go to Site Setup > Operations > Recency Setup.

Click Add.

In the new window, select the Composite Item radio button.

Fill in the item details:

Name – The name of the Recency Item as it will appear on the Recency page.

Department – Select the department this item applies to (e.g. “Pilot”).

Target Count – The number of Child Items that must be completed to satisfy this composite item.

Caution – The number of weeks before expiry that a warning should be triggered.

Default – Set the visibility as either Required, Optional, or Hidden.

Contacts – These are the personnel responsible for overseeing the Recency Item. When assigned, they will be notified as users approach expiry or let the item expire. This ensures the responsible contacts can follow up, schedule training, or take appropriate action.

Child Items – Select the Recency Items that contribute to this composite item.
To add them, start typing the name in the text field at the bottom and click Add when the correct recency pops up.
