Audit Types are used to categorise the different kinds of audits your organisation may conduct.
Audit Types allow you to clearly separate different areas of auditing, for example: flight operations, maintenance, ground handling, or safety management systems.
By setting up separate Audit Types, you ensure that each area is assessed according to its own standards, scope, and risk profile.
Each Audit Type must be linked to at least one Audit Checklist, which outlines the specific items that need to be assessed during the audit.
See How to create an Audit Checklist to learn how to create a checklist.
To create a new audit type:
- Go to Site Setup > Audits > Audit Type Register.
- Click New Audit Type.
- Enter a name for the audit type in the Audit Type Name field.
- Provide a description in the Description field.
- Select the relevant options from the Audit Class and Audit Area drop-down lists.
If you do not find the appropriate options, they can be added in different areas of the setup.
