Deactivating user profiles in Air Maestro helps maintain an accurate personnel list within your organisation and prevents former employees from accessing the site.
When a profile is deactivated, it will not count towards the organisation's licence count and it will be hidden from the Personnel module, unless the "Show Inactive" filter is checked.
Only a person with Personnel Management > Modify access level can deactivate users' profiles.
To deactivate the user:
- Find the user's profile via the search bar at the top banner or the Personnel module.
- Go to the user's Personnel Wizard tab.
- Click on the pencil for the most recent record under the Employment History table.
- You can deactivate the user using either or both methods:
-
- Changing the Employment to Ex-Employee
- Entering an End Date that is in the past
We recommend the latter method, as it helps ensure the accuracy of the user's employment history data within the database.
Pressto confirm your changes.
- Changing the Employment to Ex-Employee
-
- Proceed to the Next Step within the Personnel Wizard to save the change to the user's profile.
Inactive users will not be able to log in to the site, nor will they receive any further notifications from the Air Maestro system.
FAQs
-
Can users be deleted entirely from Air Maestro?
Users in Air Maestro cannot be deleted through the application.
They can only be deleted with help from our Database Team, however we advise against that, due to how much data is associated with each profile. We suggest deactivating users in most cases.
-
We have two profiles with the same name on the site. Can we have one of them deleted in this case?
If one of them has no login history or data, you can choose to deactivate it or submit a deletion request.
If both have been used in different areas of Air Maestro, please submit a request to merge the accounts, specifying which one should be kept as the main profile.
